What is the HNC in Business?
The Higher National Certificate in Business is a part time course which aims to provide learners with an education in a wide range of business related subjects. This course will equip students with essential skills and a qualification that may lead to career progression, employment or will provide students with a sound basis for study at a higher level; for example the HND in Business Administration, Diploma of Higher Education, a Foundation Degree and a Bachelors Degree.
The HNC in Business is 120 credits in size made up from a range of mandatory and optional units

Assessment
Assessment will be in the form of assignments. There are no formal exams

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements or age restrictions . However in order to be considered for the Higher Apprenticeship you must be working in a managerial or senior administrator role , either full-time or part-time in order to generate the necessary evidence to prove competence. Further eligibility criteria may apply. CWT will guide you on this.
Duration & Format
The HNC will run over 10 months commencing January 2012, with attendance at CWT in Coventry for one afternoon and early evening per week plus workplace visits from a qualified assessor, for those students undertaking an apprenticeship.
Prices
Prices for the HNC commencing January 2012 have been set at:
£800 (plus VAT) fully inclusive of registration and exam fees.
A further subsidy may be available subject to eligibility.
