What level is right for me?
Level 2 is designed for those who deliver physical, emotional or enabling care to clients. It is applicable wherever care is delivered including hospitals, clients own homes, residential homes and day centres. It is particularly relevant to roles such as: care assistants, health care workers, home carers and nursing assistants. Level 3 is for those working in a senior role who allocate tasks and undertake supervision of staff. Level 5 is designed for Deputy Managers or Managers within a health and social care setting. This qualification serves as the regulatory requirement in the sector.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However you must be working with customers at the appropriate level, either full-time, part-time or on a voluntary basis in order to generate the necessary evidence to prove competence. CWT will guide you on this.
Duration & Format
Completion is anticipated within 10 months for a level 2 qualification, 12 months for a level 3 qualification and 18months for level 5. You will be appointed a personal Training Advisor who will assess progress on portfolio development and conduct observation sessions.
