What are Traineeships?
Traineeships are a new programme for young people aged 16-24 seeking an Apprenticeship.
Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training offers a tailor made package of support that will help you develop the skills, confidence and independence to secure employment in an Apprenticeship or other forms of work. A Traineeship programme is designed to fit individual learner needs, and will last for a maximum of six months.
Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training Traineeships consist of 3 elements giving you the opportunity to complete:
- A high quality work placement giving real-life work experience
- Focussed work preparation training including CV writing, mock interviews, job searching and communication skills
- English and maths for young people who have not achieved a GCSE grade C, equivalent or above.
Traineeships will help you develop the skills employers see as essential in today's world of work including:
- Communication and people skills
- Team working
- Information technology
- Problem solving using your own initiative
A Traineeship will give you the chance to develop all these skills in a vocational context, and a far greater chance of securing an Apprenticeship by beating off the competition.
Traineeships are available in a range of sectors including:
- Early Years Care
- Business Administration
- Information Technology
