Young Chamber

Young Chamber is part of our commitment to nurturing the talent of the future by bringing together young people and local businesses to provide meaningful insights into work, jobs, careers and the exciting range of employment opportunities that exist for young people.

Through Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce’s Young Chamber, schools can access activities designed to develop young peoples’ understanding of the employability skills employers look for in their future workforce.

Young Chamber consists of a variety of activities covering three key areas - Aspirations and Awareness, Employability and Work Readiness and Enterprise.  It includes activities such as giving young people real life work experiences and support from local businesses through a variety of means such as mentoring, business visits and insights, as well as providing up to date information on the skill needs of local businesses and the variety of career opportunities available.

We offer ‘real life – real world’ experience which opens young peoples’ eyes to business, the working world and its many opportunities. Our approach informs students of how their ambitions can be applied in the world of today and tomorrow, with vocational progression pathways and, most importantly, a clear understanding of meeting employer expectations.

Employers recognise the strengths of Young Chamber. They are able to meet with interested young people and talk about their industry and areas of expertise and provide young people with informed information.
