Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) (Incorporating Train the Trainer)
This qualification has been developed for people who are entering or already in teaching or training and would like to gain a formal qualification . It will enable Trainers to gain the knowledge and skills required to design and deliver learning, offer appropriate support and effectively plan development. There are no formal entry requirements, however delegates must be prepared to prove their skills in designing and delivering learning.
The programme for the PTLL Level 3 CIEH Award is designed to be delivered in 30 hours of teaching time, plus revision and practice sessions, with a further 30 hours for assimilation, consolidation and assignment planning, development and submission. The first 3 days will incorporate the Train the Trainer award.
