Coventry based Solicitors; Coltman Warner Cranston who specialise in debt recovery and insolvency for commercial companies are a firm believer in the benefits of Apprenticeships. Through Apprenticeships the company has supported and encouraged progression within the profession for a number of years in partnership with CWT Chamber Training.
CWT Apprentice Richard Judge left Bilton High School in Rugby with a range of good grades and had planned to enrol at college on a Business course. On seeing an advert for Apprenticeship vacancies with CWT he decided to explore the route to apprenticeships with one of CWT’s recruitment advisors. Within a week Richard secured a position as office junior with Coventry based solicitors Coltman Warner Cranston and started the Business Administration Intermediate Apprenticeship. The qualification was the first step on the ladder for Richard who has now progressed onto further training with Coltman Warner Cranston.
Richard feels the Apprenticeship route was the best option for him. His friends on the other hand went to University and have now all got large debts to pay off and no guarantee of a job at the end.
Richard said “I am better off financially than my friends but that does have its disadvantages as I’m the only one with a car!” (His childhood ambition)
Richard moved from office junior to Paralegal and is now 19 and a Trainee Legal Executive for the company. Richard’s ambition now is to become a fully qualified solicitor by the time he is 25.
Richard is keen to share his story with others as he feels that Apprenticeships are a great route to further your education to a promising career.
